Chargers going 1-3 at Chaffey Tourney

Rancho Cucamonga, CA - The Chargers travel to Rancho Cucamonga to participate in the Chaffey Tournament. In Game 1, Cypress face Citrus in a thrilling game and comes away with a 12-11 victory. Monique Dorado scores 4 and Sandy Hernandez led the Chargers with 6 goals. Jennifer Preciado's 2 goals prove to be significant for the Chargers to pull off the victory. Goalies Kelsey Kindall has 6 saves while Brittany Noss has 2 saves.

In the second game, against powerhouse Riverside which proves to be too much defeats the Chargers 15-3. The Tigers does a defending job on Dorado limiting her to 1 goal in only 1 hot on goal.

The next day, the Chargers face the host team Chaffey in another exciting match. Dorado scores a goal with 4:31 to go in the match to put the Chargers up 7-6. Only to see the lead disappearing back to back goals by Chaffey inside 2 minutes to seal an 8-7 win with the Panthers. Dorado leads all scorers with 6 goals.

In the last game of the tournament, the Chargers are matched up with another powerhouse, Cerritos and loses 17-6 to the Falcons. The game is close with Cerritos only leading 9-4 at the half but the second half, Cerritos outscores Cypress 8-2.

Dorado scores 12 goals for the tournament, while teammate Hernandez adds 8.
